VSL | TECH REQUIREMENTS

VSL Staff will always have final decision.
At the event organizer/staff’s discretion, any unsafe car and/or driver may be removed from the event at any time.
THERE IS A HIGH-RISK OF CRASHING AT VILLAINS SPORTSLAND. Never bring a vehicle to the track you are not willing to lose. Accidents do happen - please remember, this is drifting.

LIGHTING
Lights are REQUIRED for night driving. Some form of lighting on both the front and back of the vehicle is mandatory
HELMETS
Helmets must have a minimum DOT safety rating. Open face helmets are allowed.
BATTERIES
Your vehicle’s battery must be firmly mounted in the stock location with factory mounting hardware - or - remotely with a minimum of (x2) 5/16” bolts, 1/8” mounting plate, and 1” wide top strap bolted firmly to the relocated position.
Battery boxes are also acceptable as long as they are properly mounted.
Trailer straps, bunjee cords, belts, and zip ties will not pass tech at VSL.
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
A minimum 2.5 pound fire extinguisher is required to be within reach of the driver while strapped in.
Plastic brackets will not pass tech.
The mount must be of metal construction and be able to withstand a kick from the tech inspector. We like kicking things.
You are responsible for your vehicle.
STEERING/PEDALS
Steering wheel and pedals must be firm and free of excessive play.
Floor mats should be removed from the vehicle to ensure there is no pedal interference.
SEAT BELTS/HARNESSES
Factory seat belts must be in working order.
Harnesses must be attached to a proper harness bar or roll cage.
Harnesses bolted to the floor or strut tower will not pass tech.
SEATS
Seats must be rigidly attached to the floor of the vehicle with a minimum of (x4) 5/16” (8mm) or larger bolts.
ROLL CAGES
Hard top vehicles do not require a roll cage to drive/tandem at VSL.
Convertibles are required to have a 4-point roll bar at minimum. 1.5” .095 DOM minimum.
Bolt in roll cages will not pass tech inspection regarding convertibles.
All vehicles with roll cages must have padding on any bar the driver or passenger’s helmet could come into contact with.
EXHAUST
All vehicles must have a MUFFLER in the exhaust system.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
Turbochargers no longer count as a muffling device.
A catalytic converter does not count as a muffling device.
Staff reserves the right to remove any car from the track if they are too loud.
